Ann Arbor, MI—From August 14-August 16, 2009, Arts Enterprise held their first annual Arts Enterprise Summit. Designed to help visionary faculty, staff and students plan and launch successful AE chapters on college campuses across the United States, the conference put thought into action by providing new chapters with the resources and guidance to develop meaningful and sustainable AE programs on their own campus.

The AE Summit put the power to succeed into students hands, giving them specific action steps for starting a chapter. Over the course of three days, teams from each institution developed a strategic plan for their AE chapter, started their AE website/ facebook page, planed and tested core programs with AE staff and, developed a rich array of programs specific to their institution for the 2009-2010 school year.

The Summit attracted over thirty participants from seven different institutions and it was designed specifically for small, cross-disciplinary teams from each institution. The overall goal was to attract administration, faculty and students from across campus to plan their own AE chapter. Ultimately, the summit gave teams an intensive, hands on conference that will give you the tools to build a highly successful chapter.
