April 5, 2010—The University of Iowa joins the AE network

Iowa City, IA—The University of Iowa has officially become the fifth institution to join the AE network.  Led by Lauren Bevineau, a junior double majoring in finance and music, the team launched their chapter in just under two months.

Citing a need for cross campus collaboration, Bevineau stated that "We want to start an Arts Enterprise chapter at The University of Iowa because there is a growing interest in arts entrepreneurship. There are business students with arts interests and arts students who crave business knowledge. Students with these interests are ripe for an organization that allows them to explore ways to creatively enact change on their campus, nurture their passions and discover how to sustain a creative career. However, there is no single student organization that blends the two disciplines." 

In the coming weeks the Iowa team will work to build out their chapter goals as well as a launch event for the fall 2010.
